Lime Works provide a comprehensive professional on-site contracting service in the application of lime rendering, lime plastering and lime wash. As an example of our project management and turnaround capability; for an on-going large-scale phased project, we have efficiently completed an entire £320,000 contract, from site arrival to finished application, within a 9-week period. Designing and manufacturing our own materials, in combination with operating our own specialist teams, means that we are the only contractors in the UK that guarantee our truly traditional lime putty work.

Every member of the Lime Works on-site application team is employed directly by the company. Each individual passionately believes in the use of natural materials and traditional application methods, as well as delivering excellent hand-craft skills. Each individual undertakes a thorough induction and training programme; which covers the historic and ecological importance of natural lime-based technology; the disciplines of on-site management and the hands-on complexities of rendering. In conjunction with ongoing Health and Safety training, all members of Lime Works staff who work on site, have CSCS approved Health and Safety cards.

We regularly use cherry pickers and utilise these versatile extendable platforms wherever site conditions make it possible and when scaffolding may not be needed. An example of capitalising on these versatile high platforms in practice, is our ability to carry out the work at Roedean School, Brighton, an ongoing large-scale project with restricted time slots, where we are required to work only during the school holiday periods.

The Company operates an impressive fleet of service and support vehicles, several of which have been modified to facilitate efficient materials delivery and on-site application pumping equipment. Our fleet resource provide time-saving economic solutions for our clients, without compromise to quality and excellence.

We have worked on sites in most parts of the UK and are willing to travel to all regions in the country. Our teams will either stay in local hotel accommodation or where applicable, we utilise our own dedicated economic mobile-home for on-site, or near-site, accommodation. The objective is to allow our teams to spend the maximum time on site. Being closer to the site also reduces travel and fuel costs; minimising wear and tear on the roads and helping to protect our natural environment.
