Within the last decade, Lime Works has successfully applied traditional lime-based solutions for a wide variety of new buildings. The principle technological reason for using our own-manufactured, genuine unadulturated natural materials for new buildings, is that lime-based applications essentially provide the same unique, high performance damp-controlling properties as for historical properties. In addition, the rise in awareness of the critical need for sustainability in construction, has led architects, developers and builders alike, to re-consider the use of lime-based mortars in plastering, pointing, rendering and washing, that have no cementitious additives or plasticisors of any kind.
